Entry Mat

Since we are normally parked on dirt, keeping the dirt outside is of prime interest to us.

Kate of Cholula Red found some door mats made by a fellow at crossroads town in northern New Mexico. They looked like some my parents had in the 50’s. The deal about these mats is that dirt can fall between the cracks in the mat – removing it from being tracked inside. Not caring to make a two hour drive to score a rubber mat, we left NM without one.

Months pass and Bill and Dee show us the rubber mats they are using. Bingo! They look like ornamental iron. The dirt to falls through. They kindly gave us one and I cut it to fit our entry step.
