We thought about putting plastic storage drawers in the cab over. We could never bring ourselves to thinking a wall of plastic that would greet us every time we looked that way would please us. We contemplated hiding drawers by having the front bunk panel raised and secured to the ceiling. Many have done this. We felt the rig seemed much smaller in that configuration.
We settled on this - two wicker baskets we found at Target. I secured them to each other with plastic ties. They stay put fore/aft due to friction and side-to-side with the folded-over bunk panel.
Advantages:
Still plenty of room for the grandkids to sleep without moving them.
They can be removed easily.
The bed can still be used to drape clothes over. <smile>
Not a permanent mod.
